Our story began when Allan acquired a company with a few rental motorhomes, uncovering the potential of a motorhome rental. Over time, we expanded our fleet to 15 vehicles and confronted repair and maintenance challenges. Sensing an opportunity, Allan made substantial investments to develop an AWS Approved Workshop, where David honed his skills as one of the first trainees. This father-son collaboration laid the foundation for our robust commitment to exceptional service.

SmartCampers is conveniently located on the east side of Glasgow, easily accessible via the recently upgraded M74, M77 and M8 motorways.

Our campervans are built on the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Ford Transit models so that the driver benefits from the reliability and efficiency of these trusted, market-leading manufacturers. 6-speed manual gearboxes are standard although, automatic transmission can be upgraded
The beauty of our campervans is that they are easy to drive and of a size that is suitable to use as your second vehicle – they also pass the supermarket car parking space test! The latest Euro 6 diesel engines means that you will enjoy plenty of power and excellent fuel economy with 30mpg + easily achievable.
Our rear bed layout allows not only for a comfortable and spacious sleeping area but also a large amount of storage both under the bed and in the overhead lockers. The bed is predominantly fixed but can be stowed to create a walkway from middle to back which can allow for the transport of larger items (bikes, paddleboards etc).The two front cab seats swivel to create a round seating group in the living area.
With a well equipped kitchen you’ll be able to make the most of local produce as you travel. You have 55 litres of fresh water and 55 litres of waste water capacity so there will always be ample water available onboard for washing in the separate shower and WC compartment.
Our vehicles come with drivers and passengers’ front airbags, M1 crash-tested double seat, Gas Safe Certificate, smoke & CO2 alarms as standard.
We have a wide range of optional extras available for you to add to your model from bike racks and on board Wi-Fi to hydraulic levelling & engine optimisation.
